In Benishangul-Gumuz, members of the security forces, who are known as 'በሁለት ቢላዋ', have been warned to change their ways of helping the rash movement





The Federal Government's Integrated Task Force is providing training to zonal security leaders and members in Benishangul-Gumuz State.





The task force, established by the federal government, said it had learned that some members of the security forces were involved in the security crisis in the zone. As a result, security forces and members of the security forces operating in the zone are being evaluated and trained.





A total of 109 anti-insurgency, special security and strike dispersal forces, ranging from Ganta leader to brigade commander, as well as 37 police officers at all levels in the zone began taking the training.





Brigadier General Alemayehu Wolde, Deputy Commander of the Western Command and a member of the Task Force, said: The security forces have a responsibility to serve different nationalities equally and reliably.





On the contrary, they called for an immediate end to all illegal activities.





"Members of the security forces, who have been working to 'eat with two knives' in support of the bandit movement, must change their ways," he said. "Recognize that any security force is under the control of the people and the country," he said.





Deputy Commissioner of the Federal Police Commission's Crime Prevention Sector, Assistant Commissioner Issac Ali, said security forces should be independent of any political party and fulfill their responsibilities.





He noted that the mission of the police is to respect and uphold the constitution and the constitutional order. He urged security forces who have a purpose other than this mission to check themselves.





"Members of the regional police and special forces should be compensated by serving the community equally and bringing peace to the area," he said.





Benishangul-Gumuz Regional State Prosperity Party Office Head, Isaq Abdulkadir, on his part said that all that is required of the police is to implement the science in a non-partisan manner.





"The security forces must act responsibly to prevent any recurrence of atrocities in the zone," he said.
