Action was taken against more than 30,000 organizations in Addis Ababa that are said to be the cause of the high cost of living

Addis Ababa Deputy Mayor Adanech Abebe said various measures have been taken against more than 30,000 companies that are said to be the cause of the high cost of living in Addis Ababa.

In a statement, the deputy mayor said the main reason for the high cost of living was fraud and disruption of trade.
It is said that a task force has been set up to solve the problem and monitoring and action is being taken.

In addition, 500 million birr subsidy has been provided to strengthen the capacity of consumer cooperatives.
The deputy mayor said the public should play its role in normalizing the trade system by pointing out the illegal trade activities to the security forces.
