According to Berhanu Bekele, Commander-in-Chief of the Republican Guard, these houses will alleviate the housing shortage and will play an important role in providing the army with a return mission.
He also thanked the Department of Engineers for completing the high-quality housing in a short period of time.

Dereje Megersa, Deputy Head of the Defense Engineering Department, on his part said that we have completed the task of building the house given to us by making it a tradition not only to start but also to finish.

The building included a dining room, a swimming pool, a bathroom, and a toilet for a battalion.
Along with the handover of the houses, a tree planting program was carried out in response to the call to dress Ethiopia.
