The Al-Shabaab militants attempt to infiltrate Somali region has been blocked
The head of the Somali Regional State Security Bureau, Dr. Hussein Abdullahi Qasim, said that action has been taken against Al-Shabaab militants who have been infiltrating the Sebed Hume border in Mustahil Woreda of the Somali Regional State.
The group fled to Somalia, where one of its members was killed and another was wounded, the official said.
He said the security forces and the Somali Regional State Special Forces have been able to take action against deployment of Al-Shabaab militants in the area, adding that the security forces are ready to protect the region and the country's borders.
