New government appointees are expected to register assets before they start work

The Federal Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (FECAC) has announced that new government appointees will be required to register their assets before taking office.

The commission issued a press statement on the 2013 asset registration process and the 2014 plan.

He also said that the data of 705 wealth registrants was verified during the year. He said the performance was better in Oromia, Sidama, SNNPR, Harari and Benishangul Gumuz states.

In 2014, there will be a complete registration of assets in the federal and all regions, he said.

ENA also said that new government appointees will be required to register their assets before taking office.
